Johlene van der Linde

Johlene holds a B Comm Honours (Cum Laude) in Industrial Organisational Psychology, is a Reward Specialist Practitioner, member of SARA and serves on the SARA Reward Awards committee. She has more than twenty years of Payroll, Human Resource generalist and Remuneration and Benefits experience in the Information Technology-, Health- and Motor industries. Johlene has been a consultant for the last 6 years and currently consults to companies in numerous industries with regards to a broad spectrum of reward and remuneration projects such as market positioning, pay scale development, benefit analysis and benchmarking, reward philosophy, strategy and policy design, job profiling and job evaluations, cost to company conversions, remuneration and total reward statements, and design of package structuring tools and Human Resource and Payroll information management dashboards (utilising Microsoft Excel). Johlene worked for PwC in their Research Division as survey Key Account Manager and then as Reward Consultant. She is currently studying towards the Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) qualification.

Tanya Tosen

Tanya holds a B-com financial accounting degree, as well as, a computer science diploma. In addition, she obtained her advanced certification in tax from the University of Pretoria. She has worked mainly for international corporations where she previously held a HR information systems and Tax Analyst role for Africa, Europe and the Middle East for an engineering consulting firm. Prior to that, she worked for many years, in payroll for a U.S. based medical firm. She now joins us after working for Deloitte as a manager in tax, where she was seconded and had substantial exposure to the banking and petro-chemical industries.  She brings experience and knowledge in the mobility, HRIS, payrolls, employee and expatriate tax, as well as, remuneration and benefits spheres.

Michael Maltman

Michael is the newest member of the Remuneration Consultants team. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Johannesburg and is currently working towards a Bachelors of Commerce Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. Coming from a sales background, he looks to further develop and hone his skills in the Remuneration Fraternity. His experience of dealing with people affords him the opportunity to work closely with the other members of the Team and assist on multiple projects.

Rina Fourie

Rina is a registered General Tax Practitioner (SA). She specialises in individual tax compliance, tax dispute resolutions which includes objections, appeals and SARS audits, interpretation of the law and technical tax opinions. Rina deals with SARS on a daily basis and is familiar with the SARS requirements and processes for individuals. Prior to joining, Rina worked as a consultant in Deloitte’s Transfer Pricing team, where she also served on the firm’s budget committee. Rina holds a degree in B.Com Financial Management as well as an Honours degree in Taxation from the University of Pretoria.

Winnie Gatare

Winnie holds Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Cape Town. She came from a Personal Assistance background and initially joined as assistance but has now moved to being in consultant position. Her studies and previous occupation has helped her dealing with people, gives the opportunity to work closely with the other members of the Team and assist on multiple projects.

Belinda Venter

Belinda is part of a team that specialises in individual tax compliance. This includes all individual tax related needs, such as tax registrations, submission of returns, objections, appeals and exemption claims for expatriate clients. Belinda deals with SARS on a daily basis and is familiar with SARS requirements and processes for individuals. Prior to joining, she worked as a consultant at Samuel Pauw Incorporated, an auditors firm.

Mariana Stander

Mariana Stander, ex-KPMG and ex-Deloitte, also headed-up global expatriate management for Hatch Africa. She is the original developer of the modern package structuring tool (PST) and flexible benefits, which creates the link between contracts, employee remuneration and pay slips. Her PST models match client payrolls, and she has vast experience to payroll packages, payroll methodologies and parameters, employee benefits and employees’ tax. Within our team, she is the go-to person on complex payroll computations, cost-to-company reconciliations, complex calculators, computational modelling and practical aspects of employees’ tax disclosure. She provides many listed and other larger international employers with Total Reward Statements, Expatriate Package Tools and Travel Calculators, section 197 transfers where she has a market leading “apples-with-apples” comparison methodology, and VSP processes under section 189 where the process is made seamless though electronic package and take-home pay calculators. Her expatriate package calculators includes full expatriate build-up methodology, expatriate cost and expatriate tax calculators. These covers most African locations she is the provider to some of the largest expatriate employer groups into Africa.

Jerry Botha CFP®

Jerry holds his own FSB License, is a Master Reward Practitioner and serves on the Executive of the South African Reward Association (SARA). He chairs the SARA Employee Benefit Committee and is a Certified Payroll Practitioner and Tax Practitioner. He is the managing partner of Tax Consulting that specialises in employee remuneration, personal tax, employee benefits, employees’ tax and more complex areas of taxation.

Rebone Banda

Rebone holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management. She is a certified Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) and a registered Reward Analyst through the World@Work Society and the South African Reward Association (SARA). Rebone has several years’ remuneration experience, her exposure includes remuneration policy reviews, job analysis, job profiling, job evaluation/grading utilizing any market recognised job evaluation system, job evaluation policy formulation, defining job evaluation committee terms of reference and job evaluation and basic tax facilitation and training for union representatives.  Rebone serves as a SARA conference committee member.

Craig Rocher

Craig started his studies at the University of Pretoria studying BCom Accounting Sciences from 2003 – 2006 and then did honours in 2006. In 2007 he started with articles at Deloitte in Sandton for 3 years and then qualified as a CA (SA). He worked as an audit manager at Deloitte for 2 years and then joined Tax Consulting in 2013. Craig started out assisting Jerry Botha and Mariana Stander with PAYE calculations and other ad hoc items. He assisted Jerry with complex calculations and accounting opinions and accounting treatments. In July 2013 he started working on a project for Aveng Grinaker-Lta in Mozambique assisting them initially with a payroll system implementation. He has now been contracted out on a full time basis to assist them on a range of items.

Natasha Wilkinson, Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa

Natasha was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in December 2013, after having obtained her LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg. She has experience in general litigation, labour law and the insurance industry and has assisted in considering liability exposure for various municipal entities.

Marilize De Witt

Marilize is a registered Industrial Psychologist and holds a Master’s Degree (M.Com) in Industrial Psychology. She specializes in all aspects of recruitment and now heads up our recruitment division. She has extensive experience and accreditation’s in most psychometric assessments and has developed numerous training and development courses. Her recruitment specialities extend to various clients ranging from NPO organisations through to multi-national corporations.

Stacey Kindler

Stacey is the Senior Recruitment Consultant and has vast experience Recruiting within the Information Technology sector placing positions such as IT Directors, IT Operations Managers, Systems Information Managers, Business Analysts, Software Developers to name a few. Stacey is now specialising within the Human Resources, Remuneration and Rewards and Finance Industries and has experience placing ‘the right people, in the right places’ both locally and internationally.
